Love You John!

Sooooooo…John is amazingly supportive about my knitting and sewing but for YEARS now he’s been calmly asking me how his sweater is coming along. In the last year he’s been sounding more “pushy” about it. Don’t get me wrong, I want to knit it for him but once I learn a cable pattern I just get bored and it is very cable intensive! It’s a lovely Jane Ellison pattern from one of her Queensland Collection books…

Of course I didn’t violate the unwritten rule of “don’t knit a sweater for a boyfriend” and waited until after we were married to start; that’s over 5 years ago now. At least I still like the pattern I chose, nothing worse than coming back to a pattern after a few years and hating everything about it. It’s called “Beck” and I’m using Tahki’s Donegal Tweed…

I have the back and one sleeve done and I’m almost at the split for the front zipper. I’m really on a mission to get it done. I don’t feel guilty about not getting it done before now but it is a very easy cable repeat so I should be able to manage it by the end of this winter right (which who are we kidding could be until May this year the way things are going)!

Love you John!
